PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – Katherine Teresa (Kathleen) Conway, of Pearl River, died on Friday, May 27, at Nyack Hospital after a brief illness. She was 78.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1937, to Bernard and Bridget (Lynch) Fegan in Kilcogy, Mullahoran, County Cavan, Ireland, emigrating to the United States in 1961.
Conway worked at Emigrant Savings Bank before graduating from Rockland Community College with an associate degree in accounting, and going on to work for Lehn and Fink in Montvale, N.J., for 12 years.
Conway is survived by her husband, Patrick Joseph (P.J.); daughter Nuala Ridge and her husband Peter, son Michael and his wife Kristie; six grandchildren, four brothers, Peter, Brian and his wife Julia, Seamus and his wife, Elizabeth, and Noel Fegan, sister Maureen Browne and her husband Liam.
She was predeceased by her brother, Bart and sisters-in-law Nora and Colette Fegan.
Visiting hours are on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 31, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret of Antioch Roman Catholic Church in Pearl River.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
